Discrimination against LGBTI people goes against the fundamental values of the EU and as long as it is a problem, the EU won’t stop working to end it.

Last Saturday, Frans Timmermans, the First Vice-President of the European Commission, took part in the Belgian Pride Parade together with the “United in Diversity” group including Egalité and Queer Stagiaires, LGBTI+ staff associations of the European institutions, the European Parliament  Intergroup on LGBTI Rights, Stand Up for Europe and JEF Europe.

The commitment of the European Union is also reflected in the #EUandME campaign, which reminds everyone that we have the right to live without discrimination (Article 21 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights)

Look at the short movie  “DEBUT (Beginning)” by Dalibor Matanić about a young man who finds the strength to be himself.
