During the Pride month of May, Brussels will be immersed in rainbow colours because of the the RainbowCity Project. There are several initiatives within this project that spread the message of diversity, inclusion and solidarity.

Rainbow Lighting

Every year there are some prominent buildings in beautiful rainbow colours during the Belgian Pride period. The Pride partners working together on this initiative are ING, Belfius, City of Brussels, Infrabel and P & V with the ING tower Marnix, the Rogiertoren, the Grote Markt and the Beurs, the Central Station and the P & V building respectively. They are the colourful light that gives our social themes an extra boost.

  • ING: 4-20 May
  • Belfius: 4-7 May and 17-20 May
  • P & V: 4-20 May
  • Central Station: 11-21 May
  • Grote Markt: 4 & 19 May
  • Bourse: 17-20 May

In collaboration with the Minister of Mobility of the Brussels Region.

Rainbow Crossings

Quartier Saint-Jacques / Rainbow Village

We are happy to announce that the six rainbow crossings in the heart of Brussels will be renewed! And this time they are here to stay!

Thanks to the minister of public works Els Ampe.

2 zebra crossings at Place Flagey in Ixelles have recently received a rainbow hue. Even better: these all remain after the Belgian Pride.

Thanks to minister of mobility Pascal Smet.

Many other rainbow initiatives

From the 4th of May, rainbow flags will be hung above the streets.
